BMV Motorcycle Safety Town Hall Meeting
ABATE of Indiana

ABATE of Indiana recognizes how confusing this season has been and we have all been very frustrated by the lack of information. Despite being bullied into signing a contract to be able to offer a waiver for the skills test, we have had virtually no communication from the BMV this season. I am sure that we are all anxious to learn more about the BMV's vision for the new motorcycle safety program (see below).

If you would like to attend the Town Hall meeting announced below, you will be able to hear directly from the BMV what they have planned for the future of rider education in the State. Of course, we will provide a report of what occurs, but we think it is important that you have the opportunity to hear their plan directly from the BMV if you are able to attend.

We greatly appreciate the dedication and commitment of those that continued to work with us this year to ensure that rider education remain available throughout the state. Thanks to your efforts, ABATE of Indiana will have trained more than 2,500 students this season, with no support from the state program. We will continue to make certain that this invaluable, life-saving, community service remains accessible to Hoosier motorcyclists, just as we have for 37 years.

We have great admiration, gratitude and respect for all of you that contributed to the cause this season.

Ride Safe,

Ride Free,

Jay Jackson

P.S. If you know of others that should be aware of this, please pass this information along.
