Governor Pence Statement Regarding Crash on Governors’ Motorcycle Ride (Pence Not Involved)

Indianapolis, IN – Governor Mike Pence issued the following statement regarding the crash involving four participants in today’s Annual Governor’s Motorcycle Ride with approximately 500 American Bikers Aimed Toward Education (ABATE) members. The 141-mile ride began at the Statehouse this morning and included three stops along the route in Columbus, Seymour, and Madison. The crash occurred before the final stop in Madison, and the Indiana State Police are investigating.

“I was saddened to learn that there was a crash involving several riders in today’s ride. Our prayers are with those who were involved in the crash and with the first responders who are attending to them. We are grateful to these Hoosiers and to all who participated in the Governor’s Annual Motorcycle Ride in support of our National Guard families.”
