I realize that headline is a little misleading, as there are some folks that ride year round, therefore there is no season. However, most of the people in the Midwest start for real, some time in April.
Our rider training season does get underway in April. While everyone knows that the early classes fill quickly, there are still plenty of dates available. We also want to remind people that reviewing the walk-on policy may be a good way to get in.
May is just around the corner and we’ll soon be sharing information concerning Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month.
Expect to get your monthly Boogie reminder right up until July. The 39th annual version of “the Midwest’s Best Biker Fest” promises to be one of the most memorable yet. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, the 2019 Boogie will be an eclectic mix of all the best things from 1969. You definitely don’t want to miss it.
Pretty much every year I have this idea, sort of like a New Year’s Resolution. I want to attend at least one event in each region. While this sounds simple enough, 14 regions and an aggressive schedule can certainly complicate things. It’s also awkward if I start, and fail to finish, leaving just a region or two feeling left out. My 12 year old son, would probably quote Yoda here and say “Do, or do not. There is no try.” I’m going to give it a shot (like most resolutions, at least for a while). I hope to see you guys “on the road” soon.
