We want to provide a little information regarding some events taking place at Lawrence County Recreational Park this summer.

 

The 39th annual Boogie will be held July 18-21, 2019. Commemorating the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, “the Midwest’s Best Biker Fest” will be a party that you don’t want to miss.

 

Then two weeks later, July 31st through August 3rd, LCRP will be home to the 20th annual Gathering of the Juggalos, billed as the “Soupa” Gathering.

 

Obviously, we have a tremendous investment in Lawrence County Recreational Park and wish to protect that, as well as our reputation. 

 

In a challenging economy we must look for new revenue streams to support the property, as well as providing positive economic impact for the community. 

 

We have spoken with property owners, neighbors and law enforcement that have been involved with past Gathering of the Juggalo events and have confidence that they will be good guests. 

 

When the Boogie first came to Lawrence County about 20 years ago, some folks were worried that “the bikers will cause trouble”. That certainly is not the case. We believe that the attendees of this event may be misunderstood, but are interested in having a good time, not causing trouble. Many of them have taken to the internet expressing great appreciation for allowing them use of the facility to hold their “family reunion”. Speaking of which, we are looking forward to seeing you July 18th through the 21st at our family reunion, the Boogie
