Since this is the November issue, I’d be negligent if I did not mention the 2020 general election. Unless you live under a rock, you should know that on the first Tuesday in November the offices of US President, Indiana Governor and every member of the House of Representatives (Indiana General Assembly and US Congress) will be on the ballot, along with many others.
Even though ABATE of Indiana has a history of being able to work with whoever is in office, it’s a lot easier when you have a friendly, sympathetic ear in positions of power. We want to support those officials that are champions for motorcyclists so that they may continue to support our issues.
ABATE can’t tell you who to vote for, we just want you to consider motorcycling and those subjects important to bikers as you decide who to vote for.
Closer to home, elections for ABATE officers have now concluded, meaning that it is time for officer training and the Fall Seminar. For new people, this is an orientation into the structure and workings of ABATE of Indiana. For seasoned veterans, it’s an opportunity to learn more detail and fine tune your understanding of what makes the organization tic. For everyone, it provides the perfect forum to ask questions and network with like-minded individuals to get the best ideas regarding what to do, and how to do it.
Don’t forget, Saturday concludes with the now legendary Hospitality Contest. If you’ve not yet experienced this and Big Willy’s musical showcase, you should attend just for that.
The Fall Seminar is open to ALL members and we look forward to seeing you there.

Ride Free,
