Senate Bill, SB383, dealing with motor vehicles, notably autocycles and motorcycles has passed in the Indiana Senate and House of Representatives. On March, 23rd it passed third reading on the House Floor with a 92 to 0 vote. It will now be sent back to the Senate and Conference Committee.
SB383 will strike the language of motorcycle handle bar height from Indiana Code. In other words there will no longer be a height limit for Indiana's motorcycle handle bars.
There are quite a few other things in the bill concerning autocycles and I encourage you to visit http://www.iga.in.gov/ to read the bill's language.
One thing for sure. It does not hurt motorcycling in Indiana!
My thanks goes out to all who may have helped influence our State's Lawmakers to favor this bill.
